Foxtel Touch 7s

 

Foxtel Touch 7s all about the kids, mum and dad, running around having fun and enjoying a friendly, social game of Touch 7s, the non-contact version of Rugby 7s.

 

Open to players aged 4 and above and it’s for both Boys and Girls. Through our Inclusive Program with the Social Connectors, children with mental disorders and behavioral problems are also welcome.

 

Each Team is to provide Referee for their team. To become accredited please log onto Rugby Learning to complete the Touch 7s Referee Course. It is Free and you will get benefits from our club.

 

The MASSIVE 15 week sessions will run from 6:00pm to 8:00pm each Friday from the 12th October to the 14th December 2018. We then break for the holidays and return on February 1st for another 5 weeks.  All of this will be held at Campese Oval Queanbeyan.

So the big question - What is Foxtel Touch 7s?

Foxtel Touch 7s is a fun, free flowing, non-contact form of social Rugby designed to provide participants with a quality workout in a relaxed and social atmosphere. The game aims to increase Rugby participation and awareness amongst new and diverse customer segments.

It is also the perfect stepping stone for juniors to gain an awareness of the sport, while practicing the core basic skills required to play any format of Rugby, in a fun and safe, non-threatening environment.

 

Who can play Foxtel Touch 7s?

 Foxtel Touch 7s is a perfect introduction, or re-introduction, into light competitive sport for all ages, abilities, genders, ethnicities, fitness levels, shapes and sizes. Children from the age of four years right up to centenarians are able to participate in Foxtel Touch 7s.

Each Foxtel Touch 7s team has 7 players on the field per team. Teams are a maximum of 10 players, Players can be interchanged at any time.

 

How much does it cost to play Foxtel Touch 7s?

Foxtel Touch 7s is $70.00 per player. Discounts apply for families of 4 or more. Each Registered Player will receive a Touch 7s shirt, bucket hat and water bottle.

If you haven't used your Active Kids Voucher through Service NSW, you can utilise this and then kids rego could be for free (conditions apply). Please see here for more information.

 

What do I need to wear to play Foxtel Touch 7s?

All you need to bring to play Foxtel Touch 7s is a set of runners or football boots. The club will supply ONE shirt per registered player. Of cause you should wear shorts too!!

Referees who have completed the Refs course, will also be supplied ONE Referee shirt.

 

How do I register to play Foxtel Touch 7s?

Registrations open in August of each year. Teams are a MAXIMUM of 10 players. 7 on the field and 3 reserves.

To begin with, a Team Manager must register the team before anyone can join the team. The Team Manager can also be a player.

Once this has been done, players will be able to join the team.

 

 

CONDITIONS

Teams will be limited to as MAXIMUM of 10 players.

Each team MUST have at least one player that registers to become a Touch 7s Referee. This will ensure that we have enough referees. The more referees we have the better chance we rotate the duties between everyone.
